Little Maisy

Little Maisy plays she makes me crazy
She sings herself a morning song
Little Maisy prays in a field of waving daisies
The sun's going down she don't have long
She bites her nails and rolls her eyes

The sun shines bluer than the wind blows
The hangman's shopping her the ropes
Time flies faster than
   her little legs can carry her
The moon flies higher than her hopes
She'll comb her hair and cross her eyes

Little Maisy lies in a field of dying lilies
In her Sunday dress her eyes are closed
They asked me if I'd be okay
   he said he will but will he?
He feels so small inside his clothes
She holds her breath and drives me wild
