I Can Float
Fly across the garden,
Touching down in the dirt,
A spaceship built of tin cans,
Some cardboard and a business shirt.
A tree branch fires a laser,
A spaceman falls down dead,
The killer thinks it’s over but
The dead man rises up instead.
Knock me out
Put me away
Scream and shout
Let the children play
Locked inside a dungeon,
It’s under Coco’s bed,
The madman’s ax is sharpened,
You best be careful don’t you lose your head.
Escape by helicopter,
It’s powered by balloons,
You’ve got to flush the toilet
If you want to launch the flying brooms
Knock me out
Put me away
Scream and shout
Let the children play
The end of pretend is the birth of old age
Can you remember the freedom of play?
I feel it I like it
I feel it I like it I feel…
Now you’re rocking onstage,
Tennis rackets now guitars,
Never have to act your own age,
Cuz tennis shoes will take you far.
Turn up the record player,
And jump around to the sound,
Words come before your mouth moves,
The music knocks you upside down,
As the curtain’s falling down to the ground,
Can you hear the sound of the sound?
In imagination the truth is found.
Knock me out
Put me away
Scream and shout
Let the children play
I feel it I like it
I feel it I like it I feel…
